Scrap Metal Mogul Adam Weitsman Buys $23.5M Penthouse in Sunny Isles Beach

Adam Weitsman, a scrap metal recycling magnate and cryptocurrency mining entrepreneur, has purchased an 11,661-square-foot penthouse in Sunny Isles Beach for $23.5 million. Weitsman, who hails from upstate New York, had been searching for a condo in the area to spend more time with his parents. After a year and a half of searching, he finally settled on the oceanfront penthouse in Jade Signature. The property features seven bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, a two-story primary suite, game room, bar, wine room, and over 7,500 square feet of terraces. Weitsman's agent, Compass broker Chad Carroll, announced the sale on Instagram, while Sandra Chartouni of Fortune International Realty represented the developer in the transaction. Weitsman's core business is scrap metal recycling, and he also owns a cryptocurrency mining company. Although he was drawn to Miami's growing crypto industry, he does not plan to relocate full-time from New York.
