Central NY Billionaire Adam Weitsman Makes Waves on "Selling Sunset"

Adam Weitsman, a billionaire scrap dealer hailing from Central New York, has stepped into the spotlight on the latest season of "Selling Sunset," bringing a touch of reality TV drama to the luxurious real estate scene.

Making his appearance on the third episode titled "Old Deals Die Hard" of the show's sixth season, which premiered on Netflix last Friday, Weitsman joins the ensemble cast led by Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Jason Oppenheim. The series shadows high-end real estate brokers at The Oppenheim Group as they navigate the world of selling opulent properties to an elite clientele in the Los Angeles region.

In the episode, "Selling Sunset" cast member Bre Tiesi showcases an extravagant L.A. home to Weitsman, boasting six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a pool, a separate guest house, and ample space for entertainment spanning over 10,000 square feet. The property offers stunning views of the city and counts renowned neighbors like Lenny Kravitz and U2's Bono among its residents.

Commenting on the allure of the location, Tiesi remarks, "Billionaires’ Row, this view," to which Weitsman responds appreciatively, "I’m definitely an East Coast guy, but this is beautiful."

With a price tag of $25 million, the potential commission for Tiesi could reach approximately $750,000. Tiesi, a longtime friend of Weitsman, expresses confidence in his preferences, noting, "There is no ceiling with this man. He is looking for, I believe, his fifth vacation house? Obviously, it’s really hard to make a billionaire happy. (laughs) So I do feel a little pressure."

Weitsman's quest for a West Coast retreat to stay connected with friends prompts him to explore other options before committing to a property. Despite Tiesi’s dedication, tensions rise when another colleague, Emma Hernan, expresses interest in showcasing properties to Weitsman. This leads to a confrontation where loyalties and professional boundaries are challenged.

Following the episode, Weitsman's involvement on subsequent episodes remains unconfirmed. However, a glimpse into his expanding interests in the entertainment-real estate nexus emerges as he announces an investment in Estate Media, a startup helmed by "Million Dollar Listing" star Josh Flagg, Griffin O’Brien, and Andrew Shanfeld.

Weitsman's multifaceted persona extends beyond real estate ventures, encompassing ownership of Upstate Shredding, the largest scrap metal and recycling enterprise on the East Coast, along with multiple successful restaurants in Skaneateles. Additionally, he is recognized as a social media influencer and philanthropist.

For fans eager to catch the drama unfold, all six seasons of "Selling Sunset" are available for streaming exclusively on Netflix.
