Adam Weitsman's Pledge: Syracuse Win Leads to $150,000 Donation to Boys & Girls Clubs

Syracuse fan and Upstate Shredding owner Adam Weitsman made a Facebook pledge to donate $150,000 to three area Boys & Girls Clubs if the Syracuse Orange basketball team pulled off an upset against top-ranked Duke. Inspired by Syracuse recruit Isaiah Stewart's upbringing at a Boys & Girls Club and his own family's involvement in the organization, Weitsman was delighted when Syracuse won the game.

Following through on his promise, Weitsman plans to donate $50,000 to each of the branches, supporting basketball programs and other after-school activities. He expressed his excitement about being able to help the clubs, which have played a significant role in developing the skills of many great players and have a special place in his heart.
